Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith Are Now Part Owners Of The Philadelphia 76ers

"Men In Black" mega star Will Smith just added another check mark off his bucket list and that's owning a basketball team.  You know Philly is Will’s hometown.  This means a lot. First, Will and Jada aren’t getting divorced! Second, DJ Jazzy Jeff replaces the in-house organist. If there isn’t one in Philly, Jazz gets a partial season ticket plan we would think.

In a deal reportedly worth $280 million, Will and Jada enter into the ownership investment for the 76ers with David Blitzer, Art Wrubel and Jason Levien, former NBA player agent and Sacramento Kings executive.

Under new management, the 76ers are hoping to bring life to the franchise, keeping in mind the first two weeks of the season have been cancelled. The Sixers also launched NewSixersOwner.com to solicit fan feedback in an attempt to energize the fan base.

Once they return, it's possible A-list actor and rapper Smith could be in the stands. Smith, who was not available for comment, is a Philadelphia native who attended Overbrook High School.

Turner posted on Twitter, "think it's dope that the fresh prince is one of our new owners. Maybe willow can perform at halftime."

Harris said a mutual connection was made once Smith expressed interested.  Will had been in talks to purchase the team since as early as 2006, five years later he closes the deal. I love his style.
